Hi all, thought you might like to see this:

A local tackle warehouse was mass clearing their stock lately, and they had a lot of unsold Penn stock from god knows when.

Did not touch these because I picked this baby for ~38 USD. Its been a while since I touched Penn reels, but I reckon its a new gear sleeve and steel dog to get these back in action?

That's cool. The 340 isn't common.
Any machine is a smoke machine if you use it wrong enough.

$38 for that reel, handle, and frame is a steal

~38 USD for 2. Alas, they aren't flying off the shelves.

There are Penn 340s, 320LDs and 330LDs priced the same way.

Yeah, an SS gear-sleeve and dog and you're set.
 I don't see the 340's?
 I had a 330LD, a graphite levelwind with a lever drag.
Fishing tackle is an art form and all fish caught on the right tackle are"Gfish"!

I am going to take a wild guess these reels are in a British English speaking country in the Pacific Ocean.

Yeah, Singapore. I have no idea why the 113 was even imported. The 113H exists and not for much more money. These are the graphite frame Senators. And these were not popular reels back then - the 525-555 Mag, Mag Power, Abu 7k series and Daiwa Sealines were the rage.

Very old Penn gear coming out the woodwork, including UK style surf rods.

Did you know these guys were selling Fathom 40LWs for the same price as they were the Senators? Wonder why they're all gone.

Those graphite half frame 113 reels are sweet reels. They'd sell fast here in the USA
