Reel Repair by Alan Tani

Anyone have experience/knowledge as to the quality/performance of this reel?  Made in EAST Germany and has a worm drive. I see one for sale locally but the price is quite more than my liking ...

The Simplex is the reel with the most value that I have seen, and they usually only bring around $35 +/- if they are in excellent condition. Most of the other models, ORA, DDR, VEB, GDR, etc. usually bring about half that.
