 Very sad to hear that. A few years back I sent him a mint penn 720 as a gesture of his kindness, and wasn't expecting anything in return. A week or so later, a box from him arrived with several Norwegian jigs that were worth much more than the reel I sent him. That's the kind of man he was. Every time I use a Norwegian jig, I think of him.
