Hello,

Can anyone confirm if the line roller can be completely disassembled and cleaned via removing pictured hex nut?

Seem to recall Mitchell advising not to touch that part, but could be wrong.

I got 2 from JGP(James),but darned if I can remember if I tried it. Knowing myself it's something I would have tried. If the nut or something else would have started to get damaged, I probably stopped. Maybe a nice long soak in some penetrating solution, flush and re-lube would help.

They use locktite , I use locktite on my DQ reel also ,quick heat it up will remove it

I opted to soak in penetrant for now and re-lube. Seems to have quieted down and is working as it should.

Good to know a complete disassembly can be done via heat and loctite.
