Reel Repair by Alan Tani

I'm having a hard time finding the main & pinion gears for the 50H. I could use several sets. Can anyone point me in the right direction.

Hi fishhead, try Daiwa Corp. at  800 736-4653 in California.    Rudy

Those gears are long discontinued by Daiwa.  I am also looking for some.  Found the pinions on eB and believe there are more.  Ordered the main gears but they are wrong, from a bigger reel.  If I find a good source, I'll let you know.  It is often easier and cheaper to buy a 50h parts reel than to find the right parts.  /Joe

I am not familiar with Diawa reels but have several and 1 might be A 50H parts reel.  I will post photos of the sideplates.

I have no idea what you're talking about, but also had no idea I was responding to a 13 year old post!

Thanks, Lee.  I'd definitely be interested in a Sealine part reel.
