What do you think about this product as a bio-degradable cleaner?

0119

I sold a lot of it when I had a job in a paint store, as a surface prep for painting.  I dont recall any product warning stating not to use it on metal.  It is a great cleaner but I would sure test it first. I've had nothing but trouble with Simple Green and metal finishes.

ah, found the MSDS.  https://www.krudkutter.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=54&Itemid=53

it contains over 91% water, and anywhere from 1 to 3% of the following - an unknown trisodium salt (i'm guessing trisodium phosphate, or TSP), an ethoxylated alcohol (soap or detergent), and sodium metasilicate (which breaks down to sodium hydroxide).  it's basically a combination of water, TSP, soap and oven cleaner.  it will likely damage plastic and metal surfaces given a prolonged exposure, but will do a decent job of cutting through grease with a little scrubbing.  i would just not let it soak.
