 I'm trying to go back to Mono from braid I'm having issues with the line getting stuck between the the spool & side plate. It gets so bad at times I have to take the side plate off to untangle it. This has been happening with my Ambassaduer 7000 ct frame reel. Any suggestions to why this is happening or what I'm doing wrong or how to correct it. These problems seem to be happening only when I try to get off a good cast.

Wasnt the braid a thinner diameter than the mono you are using?  What lb. test mono are you using?  Did you try tightening the cast control knob?  The right one or the left one?

That is really strange - usually braid gets stuck due to the thinner diameter
