Wow, who is this guy?  I wonder if there's a powder coat chrome...or Titanium rainbow...
:D I talk with every part I send out and each reel I repair so that they perform at the top of their game. :D

Pretty neat. His prices on the already coated reels were very reasonable. No wonder they were all sold.

Shark Hunter

Yea! I would have liked that candy blue 10/0! :o

Great looking work & yes, decent pricing. I just wonder how well powder coat will hold up to the saltwater. ???

My limited understanding of powder coating.

A powder is applied evenly to a surface using a form of static attraction (like static cling between you and your clothes).

This powder is then melted (baked) in an oven to a liquid and cooled to a solid.

Of all of the powder coated parts that I have seen in the past (not on reels, like T-tops on boats), I think it is an excellent alternative to chroming parts.

I know the process well & yes that is the basic concept. I've also seen powdercoat on items but like you, not on reels. I think you would have to baby those reels a bit because powder coat tends to chip, maybe that's why most reels with color that I've seen are anodized instead. They look great though, and the customization possibilities are endless.
