Over 600 sold-out annual vendors --

12,000 to 15,000 attendees each of the five days --

Nearly everything represented -- from old school to new school -- every major manufacturer, charter, specialty shops, outdoor products for everyone.

For a majority of exhibitors -- this is their main event of the year to showcase their products and services.  So all stops are pulled out -- and there are things here, you will not see anywhere else.  Some of the exhibitors would/are spending in the range of $25,000 to $80,000 -- just for display areas and product presentations.

All first class -- clean and modern facility, good accommodations, great restaurants, food and drink, plenty of security, super clean restrooms, plenty to do, plenty to enjoy.

Great place to make contacts that we would not ordinarily be exposed to.

Randy Pauly, owner of Vintage Offshore Tackle, and a member of our Alan Tani Site -- is a very modest guy.

He does not exaggerate, brag, or over promise about his passion for the vintage tackle we all enjoy.

He is constantly buying, selling, and trading quality and tough to find older vintage tackle products.

An accurate inventory of his offerings would be impossible to determine -- and also inaccurate due to the constant churning, trading, buying, selling, and constant acquisition of collections and old tackle shop inventory.

Randy is possibly one of the foremost experts in this vintage tackle market.  He has established a reputation for fair dealings, rare products, along with knowledge, honest ethics, and integrity -- all in a super friendly manner.

Vintage Offshore specializes in Truline, Harnell, Sabre, Lamiglas, Roddy, Calstar, Seeker, Neptuna, & Tycoon rods -- along with reels and reel parts by Newell, Pro Gear, Penn, Shimano & Fin-Nor.  Penn parts by Newell, Accurate & Tiburon.

He also has one of the best, and constantly changing selections of jigs and iron for the collector, as well as the fisherman.  These range from Hetzels, Inlaid Bone Jigs & Baldy's, Bartenders, Putters, Explorers, 3nis, Macs, Powerhouses, Schnabels, Candy Bars, and many others.

Photos, books, lift poles & lots more.

An extensive selection of Newell, Accurate, Penn, Tiburon, and many other rare components.

These include handles, spools, frames, clamps, stands, sideplates, rings, posts, and a lot more.

Randy has so much -- an inventory is only 20% partial, at best.  However, he seems to know exactly what he has -- and about where he can put his hands on it in just a few minutes.

We had a member of this site call Thursday morning -- looking for a Newell 349H spool that he has been trying to locate for 5 years.  Randy had one new in the box.

Randy has a great selection of tough to find spools, handles, Newell Parts, and even some old Newell frame and spool upgrade kits for Penn -- still NIB.  A large part of his items are brand new old stock from tackle shops or estates he has purchased.

If you have something you think he may be interested in -- give Randy a call and shoot him some pics via email.

Whether you need a reel, rod, parts, upgrade components for the old stuff, or nearly anything else tough or easy to get -- give Randy a call, or shoot him an email.  You will enjoy your dealings, and will have a friend for life.  He understands exactly what you are talking about -- and will offer advice or knowledge at no charge.  If he doesn't have what you need -- he can usually offer advice on where you might find it.

Randy ships worldwide, takes Credit Cards, PayPal, or cash -- and is available at:

rfpauly@aol.com -- or, 805-748-9202

Make sure you mention that you are a member of the Alan Tani Fishing Reel Repair family when contacting him.  Randy is also a member -- and offers special pricing to our members, whenever possible.

Randy's prices are very fair.

For me, two of the best things about working the show was the Alan Tani Members who introduced themselves -- and Alan Tani spent a couple of days at the show, mostly at Randy's booth -- and I had the honor of going to dinner with Alan.

Here are a few photos from the show:

Excellent write-up. I've only purchased one thing from Randy, hopefully many more to come. I too got the impression that he's a humble guy.

Wow, that must have taken hours to set up and organize.  I have worked shows before, although not as large as the Fred Hall show, and I know how hard it is.  So very grateful that you guys could be there to help him out and to hang out.

Do you know if Randy had an Ice blue Accurate frame for a 113HWL off hand?

:D I talk with every part I send out and each reel I repair so that they perform at the top of their game. :D

Dear Lord, that's amazing. Just what you need before walking in that booth is a couple of those 24 oz beers....I'd have to set up a cot in my reel shop after the wife sees the haul and said her piece....

Randy has helped me out a couple of times.  Dealing with him is a pleasure.

I can't wait to meet Randy on the SOA trip!

Wish I could've gone to the Fred Hall show, but family obligations kept me close to home. But I'm wondering, are the Vintage Offshore Tackle t-shirts for sale? I'd love to have one.   8)

Wow, good eye Aiala.  I didn't even notice it until you mentioned it.

Randy is truly a nice person, and from speaking with him for a few minutes you can tell he cares and knows his craft. Great guys, glad I was able to meet and talk with Fred and Randy at the show, made me feel welcome and responded to all my questions and inquiries.

Thank you again for the 7530 Tiburon Quick Change reel, I love it, one of my favorites!!!

I don't know how to do everything, but I know how to get everything done.

Bryan, I'm sorry to say that I have a standard width Ice Blue 113H Accuframe, but not an HLW.

Thanks,

Randy

Aiala, you will have a good chance of winning a T-shirt on our SOA trip.  I think that I have seven or eight left, and I'm planning to bring them all to give to Alan to use as raffle prizes or jackpot prizes or to distribute as he sees fit.  I'm really looking forward to the trip.

Thanks,

Randy
