Penn 4/0

So a while back I asked about upgrading a 4/0 I had, the answer was there was not a lot I could for that particular model. Rowdy PMed me and stated he had a 4/0 for me all I had to do was pay for shipping. Too Cool Rowdy (Rudy) sent me the reel and it is in great shape. He also offered me a lot of great advice. So I upgraded the spool, crank handle, added an SS main gear and dog. I finally was able to take the reel out and fish with it. Although no quality fish were caught I was able to see the differences the upgrades made. The first week of July it goes on a week-long landlocked beach front shark trip (true drag test when you can't chase the fish in a boat).



Thanks, Rowdy and to everyone who provided me with parts. I do plan on more upgrades in the future.

Thanks for posting your reel.  You did good,  fishing is the reason why we have reels,  butt sometimes people just collect them. 
   I,d say just go fishing.   Send us some pictures, you will have fun.   Life is short.🎣🤷‍♂️
