I have all of the answers, yup, no, maybe.

Recruitment, it went back gently.  So did the other 45 or so we got.  I lost an oversize to a ball of steel cable on the bottom.

Nice!

I've always wanted to scratch Sturgeon off my bucket list.

They were stacked below the shelf we were anchored on.

Good stuff!

Those sturgeon have a face only a mother would love.

Though they are cool, long lived, ancient fish.  I caught one on Lake of the woods, MN once while fishing Walleyes.

Basically a box style live well, to help them recover from the fight before release.

Good to see your getting out on the water Lee.

Well over 12'.  I prefer to leave the large ones be.

I have never seen one of those Sturgeon but have seen the Atlantic Sturgeon in Spurning season. They jump straight out of the ocean & spin. Just strange seeing a 8' fish jumping like that.
I have not failed.  I just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

We have uncommon green sturgeon, and much more common white sturgeon, both jump out of the water.  Iy is thrilling to see a 16' fosh 6' out of the water.

Not as hard as you would think.  The water was 48° so the fish were somewhat slugish.
