Brake Cleaner ?????????

Do I want Chlorinated or Non ??  and Y ??
Also is it safe for plastic ?
Carb Clearner will eat some plastic like Shimano 400 Calutta spool release button, I can't beleive Shimano would use a plastic like that.

I've been using the non-chlorinated in the spray can since I started and it works fine. It takes all of the crud off. I figure it's one less chemical that needs to break down and the fumes are bad enough anyway.   And yes, use it with caution on plastic, seems okay on graphite and bakelite though. Strips paint, too!   Wear eye protection.

CRC QD Eletronic Cleaner. Works every bit as well and is safer. Doesn't harm plastic.
