Dunk huh! Apt name for a fisherman, though I would stay away from you if we fished together.  ;D Welcome.  Dominick
Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.

Donnyboat

Welcome Dunk, from sunny Western Australia, and any other new members that I have mist, cheers Don.

It all sounds about right. I think you'll do just fine around here.

So. Have you started eyeballing aftermarket upgrades yet? Or does that take a bit longer for those effects to set in?
Thanks for the warm welcomes. Yeah this spring I finally got around to building the Cortez Conversion Squidder I've always wanted. I ordered the frame and side plates from Tom. I didn't have a 146 donor reel so i bought all the parts individually. New steel gears, ss sleeve, Newell aluminum spool, Bryan's ultimate drag upgrade. It casts great and performs better than anticipated. I've only used it catfishing so far and it easily handled a 42 lb flathead on a Penn Mariner rod. This summer I'm gonna take it down to my uncles beach house in Delaware along with my 9/0 and 14/0 Senators.

Let's see; you can dunk a basketball? You fall in the water while fishing sometimes...? What?
Lol i have fell off my boat a few times. I grew up and live beside Dunkard creek the best musky fishing water in West Virginia and my friends nicknamed me Dunk for short as I'm frequently seen fishing there.

Love to see the Squidder.
Fishing tackle is an art form and all fish caught on the right tackle are"Gfish"!
