Bucktail

I believe he is confusing Mystic, CT with Mystic Island, NJ which is right next door to Little Egg Harbor where Scott's B&T is.

Hi guys I picked up two Jigmasters a week ago and was a bit bored so decided to make up one really good one out of two and have a few spare parts for later mods etc.

send me an email at alantani@yahoo.com for questions!

Caranx

Now that qualified the owner to become a Reel-Head! Everybody agree?

The Calcutta is not my boat, I have a vintage Mako 23. I had to climb on his boat from our anchored boat to follow the fish.

Nice fish!  I would love to catch a permit some day.

Nice fish, Nice photo.  You know how to pick'em Alan.  Dominick
Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.

I love that Calcutta 263 ...great fishing machine! I wish the gunnels were a bit higher and it had more weight to it, but I love the quality and layout (esp. the sea gate;)
By the way, nice fish! :o
Keep it up bro,
Dom

Thanks Dom, I like the vintage reels, but ultimately it's about the fish for me.

This is my "vintage Mako 1976 Hull shortly after I bought it.

and now

Tightlines667

My dad used to have a mid 70s Mako walk around when I lived in Bermuda.  Great little offshore boat, though as I recall the deep V was great for head on seas, but made here a little squirrelly in big following seas, a quick snap when drifting the trough, and no built in floatation or self bailing cockpit always made me a bit nervous when backing down hard in big seas.  Good solid boat though.
Hope springs eternal
for the consumate fishermen.

That's because Elizabeth has bigger teeth (metaphorically) than a Mako.   ;D ;D ;D Dominick
