Torque 25N Star Drag.

Drop for Salmon, Rockfish or Halibut...Tuna/Yellowtail or Wahoo casting or live baiting. It can truly do it all, and very well.

I have many, but since you said one here it is:

The most versatile reel available today, The Penn Jigmaster 501... all stainless steel guts and spacer bars.

The original Penn 501/506 bars are getting hard to find, I'm glad to see "someone"  ;D is making them again.

This design isn't the same as my other design for the larger Senators that was fine tuned from a good friend, from almost 3 years ago. Unfortunately, that one didn't go anywhere.

Now you have me thinking if I am using the right #.

I found the reel & the box for the reel. It is a 185s & has no Star Drag. The price on the box is $6.00
I have not failed.  I just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

Nice little reel for making bait, pier fishing, or for sand dabs.

Lot of history there.

Would also look good on the shelf with the box.

Best,

It was my first Penn Reel. I lost a lot of blood casting that reel because I forgot to put it in Free Spool.

I do have 2 Boxes for Penn 67 that are MT. I gave the reels to a Charter Capt. in NH. Anybody wants them let me know. They will be headed South very soon.

I bought my 990 when they hit the market. I've caught more fish on that reel than anything I've owned.
