My wife, Sue, after 34 years --  is retiring in 2 weeks -- after teaching Regular Ed, Special Ed, and Visually impaired kids.

I am very proud of her -- she went back to college twice to add her Special Ed & Vision Credentials to her General Ed -- just because she wanted to be actually making a difference to kids in the poorer areas of her school district.  She did not start her teaching career until going back to college in her late 20s -- after being in the public work force for 12 years.  She got student loans -- and actually paid them back in a timely manner.

Anyway she has a reward system for encouraging kids to do their work -- and it involves points for certain accomplishments -- and each point is a penny.

Since she is retiring, she wanted to give 5 of her kids she has taught for years -- one of those gold dollars.

The ones she got from the bank were tarnished -- so she asked me if I could just drop them in that purple junk, or something else to make them as shiny as my reels.

Not wanting to get into the chemical properties, and why it wouldn't quite work that way -- I just said, leave them with me, and I would take care of it...

Spent a total of 5 minutes on all of them with a wad of Never-Dull and a micro fiber buffing cloth.

This is how they turned out -- the one on the left was left untouched for the photo.

Thanks again to Ted (Maxdoubt) -- for the great recommendation of this product!

Quick, safe, simple, easy, no harm to surface -- and cheap!

It just works.

Best,

Fred

I got some, too, on Max/Fred's recommendation, and it is indeed excellent stuff! Give it a whirl, I can't imagine you'll be disappointed.   ;)

P.S. I wish I'd had some teachers like Mrs. O... I would've liked school a lot better.  :P
I don't suffer from insanity... I enjoy every minute of it!  :D

Those Children will be thrilled I'm sure. They will never forget your wife for caring and such a great gift. She is one in a million.
