Hi Guys
Thanks for your kind replies. Yes, we take spanish (king mackerel) trolling and sometimes one will grab a bottom bait on the way down.
That emperor my wife caught went 12.5 kgs.
The trip was a 7 day one.
A couple of those fish, the barramundi cod and maori wrasse are protected, so they go right back in the water after a quick pic.
These fish would  not be half of the species we take. We also get tunas, rosy job fish, spangled emperor, mangrove jack, red bass, parrot fish etc, etc......and of course sharks.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.
