I like me some Channel Cats. Occasionally they'll go after a lure.

Gfish - They are popular here in SoCal, since for most of the year in the urban ponds and lakes the water is too warm for anything else to survive.  CADFG stocks perfect "eating size" ones, and since fishing pressures are usually pretty high, there are very few holdovers that develop a more pronounced "flavor".  While the vast majority are caught with "bait and wait", two years ago while fishing trout in January my son nailed one on a tiny swimbait on the ultralight - he had a blast.  Unfortunately most of the urban and regional parks do not allow night fishing; which would be a real plus during 100+ degree days. - john

Looks like some fun and learning Benni3. Got an engine in mind? Would love to do a project like this, if we lived closer to one another, I could be your apprentice.
I had a '63. It burned-up about 80 miles out in the desert. 2 days latter we went back to tow-it and it had disappeared!

Virginia dmv,,,,nada value is $46,000,,,,$1000 taxes for a title,,,it's always difficult here to anything at the dmv,,,,,, >:(

My Dad bought a new '66, with the 292ci inline 6 cyl. He towed his camper trailer, and since it was his only vehicle, it was the "grocery  getter", as well. He put just over 200.000 miles on it, we rebuilt the engine, and he had just over a 100.00 on it when he "retired" it! He got a 78 Ford when he "retired" the Chevy,,,,but over 300.000 miles in 12 years was lots of campin' and grocer gettin'!
There's nothing wrong with a few "F's" on your record....Food, Fun, Flowers, Fishing, Friends, and Fun....to name just a few !

I once had a '61 F-150 that had the bed integrated into the cab so there was no gap between the two.  That idea didn't last more than a year or two because when a heavy load in the bed would start swaying it would try to rip the truck in half.

Could be. Maybe they're watching you...
I figured DMV's are State Gov. departments and everything would be the same in any county. Far as I know, weight determines the yearly registration cost. I remember California would automatically charge extra for any personal p/u no matter the size and weight, as a "commercial vehicle". You had to realize it and then give info. to prove to them it wasn't going to be used commercially.
