Thanks Sir!,

I know one has been upgraded to the 5 stack already and broke open the second reel and it has the 5 stack also. The third real still has the older three stack with a steel main gear so will update that to a 5 stack. Any thoughts on best way to spool them up for line?

spool it with straight 50 or 60 pound mono.  you should easily get a good working drag range of 12 to 15 pounds

the drag range is very low, in relation to the line capacity.  that's a fancy way of saying that the reel does not deliver enough drag to make braid worthwhile.
send me an email at alantani@yahoo.com for questions!

I've fished my 113h reels with 5 stack for 20 years with 80# braid. They hold 550yds. I fish bottom at 550'-650' for halibut and ling cod. You're likely going to be doing pump and reel, so no need to have a huge amount of drag
