Couldn't seem to find the specs for this, does anyone know which model I can use to find The biggest star that would fit the Jigmaster? Would the LongBeach star work?

Hi, my name is Lee and I have a fishing gear problem.

I have all of the answers, yup, no, maybe.

First off you have to find out if you have a fine or coarse thread. What's the part # on the star that's on the reel now?  ???                       Rudy

Get one of Motive Fabrications star's.  I got a larger Newell style one for my Jigmaster.

I have them in multiple styles, with sizes ranging from 2.5" to 3" diameter.  click here for info

I just checked your site -  there doesn't seem to be anything on it. Forgot to mention this is a left handed 501 so I would need a left threaded star - hope you make these?

I don't know if Adam has left hand taps for his stars, but Scott's have a limited supply of 10-49LH stars. Link to page https://www.mysticparts.com/PennParts/Parts/10-49LH.aspx
The 10-49 and 10-66 stars are the same diameter and are the largest Penn stars that fit coarse thread jigmaster sleeves (it doesn't look like 10-66 is available in LH thread)

It can't be too difficult - a lot of people do it.

Is the 10-49 from a Super Mariner? That looks good, I don't know if Penn made the LH 501's in coarse and fine threads? Does the Squidder and Jigmaster use the same star? (I'm at work now and can't check)

Yes, the 10-49 stars are from the Super Mariners and should fit the 501 sleeve (98-60). Pretty sure the 505 and 506 were the only jigmasters with a fine thread sleeve (98-505)
The squidder uses the 98-155 sleeve (same thread as the 98-60 sleeve) and the 10-60 star like the jigmasters.

Click the link in the post, not the one in my signature.  Im switching my website over to new software, and the store is not functional at the moment.  Im handling orders through email and PM until I have the store working again.

I dont currently have anything left handed, but I could do 113H, and maybe fine thread jigmaster.  Coarse thread jigmaster is not an option for left hand though.

Fine thread size is 13-32, and don't think the left hand reel would need left hand threads for tightening the star.

The LH Penns need a LH thread star. I have a LH 501, 146, 140 113H and a 6/0 all LH or converted to left hand retrieve. They all need LH threads.
