I just picked up two Penn International 20 series 1 (with bar)s, not one piece frame.  They have the ivory colored handles both with serial numbers M9201XX.

Any estimate on date of manufacture since M is the 13th letter in the alphabet it does not fit the letter = month.

They operate as new with just minor abrasion on one, I have not yet tasted the line to see if it is salty possibly spooled and put in the closet.

Both have holes in the side frame near the reel mount.  One has one on each side the other one and two. See middle image. Any Idea of their purpose, drains maybe.

Mike I went and looked at mine and it only has one hole in each side.  They air and drain holes.  I'm surprised to see two holes on yours. The serial No. is M910595.  It has a black handle.   Dominick
Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.
