December is getting cold in North East Cost for fishing we done with season. Time to check inventory's and get prepared for spring. Im looking for good Surf Fishing Rod 12 foot to use with bait and 5-6 oz sinker. Some one recommended Ugly Stick 12 but it not too flexible on tip and I missed bites several time.
others recommending Okuma and Bass Pro Surf rods.
any recommendations from gurus?
Thank you
and happy holidays.

Thank you for information .
Interesting models found at Penn and Shakespeare EU online. They are selling models from 13,14 and even 15foot.
3 peace's for easy transportation and very cool looking designs. Im surprised they weren't introduced to US market.

I did not realize that you are in the EU

Not sure what your budget is or how much they actually cost now? But I was checking out the Penn Tidal surf rods from across the pond a few years back. Never pulled the trigger because of the outrageous cost and chance of overseas shipping. They have the Fuji low rider LC guides, that I'm very fond of. And you usually get a really nice quality blank for the value with Penn. Some of my favorite 7 foot inshore rods are cheap Penn graphite composites lol. There's not a big enough following over here according to them! so jealous of the selection of gear offered over there. Makes us look foolish over here!

There are many options to consider.  You mentioned 12 foot to use with bait and 5-6 oz sinker.

Have you considered what action: medium, medium-heavy, heavy; type: baitcaster or spinning; pieces: one, two, three; price: <$100, $100-200, >$200?

You'll get many opinions but if you narrowed down you're selection the right opinions will emerge to the top quicker.
