I have come across a David Fritts reel marketed by Bass Pro. I can't post pictures so here a sold eBay link. Made in Korea, it kind of looks like a Quantum to me. I'm curious to know what factory this comes from. Any guesses I'd appreciate! https://ebay.us/m/dEGJgf

Maybe Lew's or Pflueger. They made BP reels in the past

Do vegans feel the same when mowing the lawn?

"Lews" and "Pfleuger" are nothing more than trademarked words used for marketing. They may be available for licensing to use.  Bass Pro has their own trademark and can skip that step.  The factory is someone like Ningbo Easyget Co. Ltd. in Zhejiang.

""Doyo Engineering Co., Ltd.: Doyo was (and remains) a significant OEM manufacturer for numerous global brands, including those for Bass Pro Shops and Abu Garcia. Their reels are known within the "Korean Domestic Market" (KDM) and are often difficult to obtain outside the country under the Doyo name. The company is based in Bucheon-si.
Silstar: Reels made by Silstar with "Made in Korea" stamps can be found from this era, indicating their presence in the market as a manufacturer of vintage fishing
Dawon: This company was another major Korean manufacturer that produced reels for brands such as Browning and Bass Pro Shops in the 90s.
Olympic: Vintage Olympic-branded fishing reels made in Korea, such as the EX-3600 model, were also available during this period""

Found this. Dawon would be my guess.

Is that some sort of AI summary? Treat it with total suspicion, it's probably garbage.

Yes, after further investigation, it looks to be garbage.
