I just discovered by the engine code it's actually a '75.

It's getting fire  with new coils/plugs & ran for 10 seconds with the old main tank I used
(No rust in it). This motor hasn't run in 5 years.I got a new tank/line NonE gas & oil.I tried the mechanic in a bottle just to get to the 10 second run  mark.

My next plan is to make sure fuel is getting to the carb & rebuilding it if needed.

My soninlaw & grandsons want to try a 15hp carb on it & I dont care to go any faster & like it original.

I tried to adjust the carb to a starting point & the lean/rich adjustment appears to be opposite than what I am used to?

Also,
This thing has always been hard to pull is that the nature of the beast, its a workout !

My son has a '83 35hp Evinrude (was my dad's). It usually starts on the 1st or 2nd pull of it's primed right.
Love those open face spinning reels! (Especially ABU & ABU/Zebco Cardinals)
