Dominick, you asked so here are some more pics.

For your info:  I was drawn for the first period of the gator hunt here. Three days before my hunt was to start, the person who was supposed to help me backed out. The other two guys in the pics offered to help me. Their hunt started the second week. On the first night, my tilt/trim motor went out. Without the tilt we couldn't get into the places we needed to. We ended up using Scotts boat to take my gators.
I had never met Tim and Scott before. They helped me out in a jamb, from a post on another fishing forum. Scott actually guides for gator hunts through another friend and guide Ron Vanderpol. Tim runs a fishing guide service and guided duck and other hunts. Tim isn't in the pics with the big gator because after staying up all night, he wussed out and went home to mamma. :D That left me and Scott to take the pics and clean the gator.
Excuse the way I look. I had been up over 24 hours and had had the celebratory adult beverages since I wasn't driving.   Bob

Bob, that gator was a monster, from that second pix, looked like he had a good 4' on you. Did you shoot him and what did you use.
Very nice buddy, thanks for posting.

Sal, we snatched him with a handline and a big treble hook. He came out of the water 5 feet one time. I killed him with one shot with a 367 bang stick. Yeah he was almost 4 feet longer than me. It was a blast! Bob

Looks like fun.
Yeah, scary fun.  Good job Bob.  Thanks for posting.  Dominick
Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.

Cone,

Looks like an Exciting type of hunting!!!  Those gators can hurt you.

Question, is a 367 bang stick a new Penn Product??

I believe the shell casings are made of carbon fiber with a touch of Cals, to reduce friction ::)

So Dominick and Sal, are you in for a little fun? I can't think of anyone the gators would be more afraid of than you two.  ;) Bob
Sorry for the typo that was a Penn 357.  ???

A 357 bang stick? Nah.  I'm into real macho stuff.  You know like Crocodile Dundee.  I takes out me knife puts in my teeth and dive into the water to go mano e mano with the ugly brute.  I'll be down next week to show you how it is done.   ;D  Dominick

I don't doubt you could do it, Dominick. I'd love to see it. I'll stick to catching them with me in the boat. They are really powerful animals but being cold blooded they tire quick. I know you can hang though. I saw the videos. Bob
