Not yet. We will have to make a mold and use it to make the carbon washers. We will have to wait for Sal finish testing first before we will make the mold. Sal will have to make those washers by hand for his testing.

Looks good Alan! When you are ready to sell, I need three sets. Then I can finish assembling the 112H and Jigmasters I have in  pieces. Thanks for all your efforts.

Sal did a test on this gear set by using 3 x 1mm thickness carbon drag washers, 2 x 0.5mm keyed metal washers, 1 x 1mm keyed top metal washer with original tension spring from PENN. The result was pushing 30# of drag stress testing in 112H. That is a great result. I assume that it could also have 28# or more in the Jigmaster 500/501.

Can a 5 stack fit?

The best suite is 3 stack for this gear set. If 5 stack is used, those carbon fiber washers will shred.

With this system of using ( 3 ) eared carbon fiber washers you will get  ( 5 ) working surface.
By the way, these gears did very well.
Using them, along with other components available to us, we have the best Jigmaster on the market.
When well equipped, the reel will easily be able to handle 20lb without breaking a sweat.

Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.

Thanks Alan and Sal,
When are those gears available and what is the cost with drag set, I'm building a reel for my sister and have a great 112h? Thought that may be the reason for the 3 stack. Is using a 2nd gen ss gear sleeve or just gen 1 recommended? I would love to have a double dog 505 bridge, could a second dog be modified into an existing 505 bridge? I would send a 505 bridge if you would like to try to modify one. Love the extra teeth in the 113 gear sleeve by the way. Love the upgrades this site has for reels. Just get a reel done and something else is being developed. Got to fish a lot last year and was in wow when checked out how much you guys have got done. I have several upgraded jigmaster and enjoy them when all day jigging a 14 oz jig, easier on shoulders compared to my much heavier Baja Special.
Thanks,
Mark
