TI 2 piece 9 foot xxh 8-36oz
Calcutta Conquest 401 with power handle.

Update 28/03/13
After some research i found this super light handle knob, and now it seems to work flawlessly (finally)
Beside that i changed the reel on the TI rod, to a ABU 7001i, and put the conquest on a Musky innovation rod, so i don't "rape" the conquest with 1-1½lb baits

Abu 7001i with a longer power handle, and made "fully manual"

After ive bin fishing a lot with the reel, i have found out that it still reengages when the handle is over the rod. (imagen the rod lays horizontal as when you retreive the lure) its no problem as long as you remember this, i think i'll keep using the handle, and just get used to stop retrieving the right place, and if it starts  bothering me to much ill try to use the original one, and see how it works with dc10 and dc13, just love the fact that it is so easy to retrieve the BIG spinners.

EDIT:
Ended up using the stock handle indsted, it bothered me to much that i had to be nerves of where the handle was, so gues i have to find an other reel for that purpose, and as the rod/reel combo was ment to be used for the big rubber baits, it was also easyer with the stock handle to pic up line faster.

Beside that i made this box for my big lures.
Made of plexiglas, stainles steel, with a "strainer" plate as buttom to let our water.

What kind and size fish will you target ???????

Zinox

Only northen pike, hopefully big ones :P going to throw pounder bulldawgs, and DC13 spinners with it.

Beside that i hope for a hallibut trip to Norway some day.

And thanks for helping mr with the power handle John :D

Great looking rig, the DC is awesome....

Let me ask you a question.
Do you have any issues with the Power handle throwing the Reel into gear when you cast??

Reason I ask is I have had issues with the power handles doing that.  Is it just me??
Is there a trick to avoiding it??

Yes i have that problem to, but a bigger counter weight in the other end of the handle should prevent it from happening.

The originalt counter weight is 15gram, and as far as i could mesure it should weigh about 45 gram so im going to make e new counterweight tomorow, and se if it works.

you weren't kidding when you said "big lure", that's a nice set up....what line are you using and how big of a lure do you cast with that?  looks like a bigger jig than what we use on the west coast for ling cods.
It may not be very productive,
but it's sure going to be interesting!

Got another question for you, I see the "Pounder" is almost literal, they have 9 oz and 14 oz!!! versions?  Why do you need to throw such heavy lures for notherns?  I have fished for pickerel  before and many times have caught fish that were smaller than the lure so I know they hit big baits on reaction strikes, but why such a heavy weight needed?  Is it the depth you fish?

Zinox

Why, ? hmm basicly for fun:P the regular buldawgs catch lots of fish to.

The TI mega D on the picture is a 13 oz, and the MI is 16 oz, the DC 13 is only 4,5oz but the rod cast it rather well.

Im using a 0,4 spider wire, not becasue theres a chance that the pike would breake it, but if you have a backlash, the heavy baits brake the line, and then"C U later expensive bait"

Im going to be fishing at 25-50 meter deep lake i sweden, where our family have a small holiday house.

Regarding the handle i just treid with the new counter weight in the garden, and if i flip the rod very fast (no bait) im stil able to get it to re-engage in the cast, but i don't think it would be a problem when your actully using a lure, and if its stil a problem i'll make a bigger one, but i'll try it on the water first.
The original weight was 15 gram, and the one i made is 47gram.

I've just been out throwing dc10á for one and a half hour, and it re-engaged 2 times, before it was almost 1 out of 2 cast, that did it.
i´ll try to make one on around 55gram tomorrow, and se if it removes the problem completely.

Thanks for the reply, I guess you will get down to 50 meters quick that way if you want, didn't realize you were going to be fishing so deep.

Ho do you like those Tsuribi power handles, I have seen them around for sale is it a direct fit or you have to drill the handle.

Zinox

I find them very comfortable to hold on, but they are a bit colder with bare hands in cold weather.

They are ment to be drilled on, but with a spacer i was able to fit it on the original handle shaft, ill also have 2 of the small Seahawk handle on my toro(they had to be drilled on) which i'm also very satisfied with. Regarding the build quality, its oki, not perfekt but oki, i have glued one of the bearing into the handle because it could move just a little little bit, but now its perfekt. :)

Also just mounted the 55gram counter weight, and it apeers to be en perfekt ballance, just have to test it by the water now :D
