I have an old 113 that I'm wanting to get my hands into to. I'm trying to find stainless bridge and gear sleeve for it and am wondering if the 113h will work. I am wanting to use this for short drops land based shark fishing in Texas. Any help is appreciated! Picture is for attention and my end goal. 6842BCEB-6103-4984-9D94-EE65413F0F47.jpeg

Welcome to the Forum from another Texan .

The 113 plain jane has a smaller Bridge and smaller Bridge plate plus  no Bearings . The H's  main gear is larger thus the drop down on the business end side plate  and will not just interchange  . Not saying YOU CAINT do it as I have put a Fat Block Chevy Engine  in a Nash Metropolitan .   :d
Best to get you a 113 H and go through it .

Understood! Thank you for the advice!

Hello? White sideplaes? Did anybody notice THAT? Maybe it's just me, but that's the fist time I've ever seen or heard of it.

And yeah, welcome TxYak, and no, the 113H parts won't fit a 113.

Yeah, I was thinking Mitchell at first, but upon closer look it's a Penn...so what's the story we HAVE to know.  Bill
It may not be very productive,
but it's sure going to be interesting!

That is not the reel currently. It is just what I'm going to be doing with the reel. I'm going to get the side plates cerakoted white. From what y'all are telling me I'm gonna need to buy a 113h. I am currently watching a few on eBay!

For sharkin', a 113H is way better with its much bigger drag and robust gears.

You might want to look at the 114H, larger in every way.  Usually not much more than the 113H.  Bill

First off, (no offense intended) your white 113 must be an imposter or a paint job. The 113 only came in black. Also, the 113 has top harness lugs. Your white reel doesn't even have cutouts on the inner rings for any lugs. The gear housing is not Penn shape and no grease port on the housing.

If you want to build the same reel, you'd hafta get a set of early outer rings to use as inner rings and put a lug blank under where lug should be. It's definitely doable

The picture was only for attention. That is what it will look like when I am finished. I just ordered a 113h and will be dropping off the side plates on Monday to be cerakoted white.

I have a 114h and it is working perfectly but I will be upgrading it soon.

Does the cerakote crack when you tighten down the screws?

I'm not sure. I'll find out soon enough though
