Mag-lite is very dependable flash light . I lost 2 of them from rolling off the dock . A year later I can get one back from very clear water and I can see it ,water never get in and it still work good

Yeah, when I was still working, Mags were the go-to flashlight...only weak spot was the rubber covered switch. Oily fingers and lots of use soon had the rubber shot.

There are some LED conversion kits for the bulbs. I upgraded a mini mag my Dad gave me. Makes a huge difference.

We have (9) of the 2-D & 3-D Maglites.  They have all been either upgraded or already came with LED systems.  Have maybe a half dozen of the mini-mags that use AA batteries.  They have been upgraded also to LED.  Batteries last longer, and the lumens are nearly twice as bright.

Trailer 1, truck 2, Outback 1, front and back doors 2, reel shop 1, workshop 1, woodshed 1.  The little 3-AA mini-mag with the LED conversion is a real impressive light.

They are generally attached to the wall with a bracket.

I have a lot of other flashlights.  The Rigid 18V will light up a hillside out to 300 yards almost like high noon.

Matt turned me on to O-Light —- which is really a good and powerful little torch for camping or working.  Attaches to your hat.

The tech has come a long way since the first mag-lites used primarily by law enforcement and professionals decades ago.  But the mag-lites are both a capable and solid product, with a good company standing behind them —- as well as a decent weapon at hand when needed in a hurry.  They have stood the test of time.

Used to swear by MagLites, have at least a half dozen of them around in vehicles, etc., but these little Duracell 550 Lumen flashlights are my go-to now. They use 4 AAA batteries and also have a strobe, if needed. I think they outshine my Mags by least 5X.
