Nice combo! Are you gonna remove auto engage?

No plans to - any reason to?

If you're using the reel for casting it can trip during the cast but since you're using it for jigging it's a nice feature. I have a couple reels with auto engage, they work great but I still find myself reaching for the free spool lever out of habit

Might want to if you ever need to cast upwind so the jig is vertical by the time the boat drifts to the jig

Yeah jigging for bigger models - see if I'm man enough to handle em w/1-spd. Star drag & no clamp may add a bit more to the challenge....but the price was right.

PG 454. It's in the mail and a 5 stack drag system enroute fr9m MysticmParts.
It may not be very productive,
but it's sure going to be interesting!

Outside of the jigging handle and auto engage what are the differences between an Ocea jigger and a Trinidad?

Hey Bill - nice find. I was lucky to snag my upgraded gold one right here. Bulletproof 40-50# workhorse. Have fun w/it!

Good question that I don't know answer to. I've heard they share many parts/features but I'm unfamiliar with "A" series Trinis. The reel I got is JDM.

Yep, I'll take it to Cedros instead of my JX Raptor.
