Nice find on the seeker, those ex rods are hard to find, not many people let them go

When I arrived late to Day at the Docks, ironically, it was just sitting there on the rack of used rods.

The bonus for me that day was that my youngest daughter enjoyed the boat ride on the Producer. So, I might have a new fishing buddy. Her first trip is this summer.
Major win-win there!
When I was your age Pluto was a planet!

natch!

What's the difference between a 270H-7 and an 870? The website lists them both as 7' with a 15-40 rating.

Picked up this red, white, and blue combo. 7'Cabela's MH Whuppin Stik and a Centron 4000. I'd never heard of these reels until I serviced a friend's Centron 2000 a while back.

I picked up a vintage Penn international super 12(by cal sheets) with a baker frame. Amazing free spool for a lever drag

Very nice Sheridan, I have the same reel that Cal blueprinted to fish 60# and double dogged. :d

It may not be very productive,
but it's sure going to be interesting!

I went to an estate auction that had some man-stuff. I got a 4 inch vise, a post leg vise, and a lot of fishing gear. Most of the rods and reels are junk, but there were a few interesting items. There is a Garcia Conolon rod and a Penn 722Z. The Penn 180 has a broken Spool and left side plate.
Maybe you can identify what the wood dowel was used for.
The late fisherman was a woodworker. He made his own bail arm for the Daiwa 1000C. It works.

Those two rod/reel combos in the last picture are kina' neat....sort of a "cradle reel" concept.
There's nothing wrong with a few "F's" on your record....Food, Fun, Flowers, Fishing, Friends, and Fun....to name just a few !

I will fill it with 60# spectra and use it for droper loop YT and tuna to 100#.  It will also be used for pacific halibut shallower than 200'.

Hurd Super Caster.  When cleaned up they could be worth a lot.
