SHIMANO`s OLD GOLD....TRITON Mark 1

I lost my pics here a few months ago because I had uploaded them from my desktop, so I thought I would resubmit them.
If I could only have a few reels, this would be one.
Shimano released the Triton Mark 1 and 2 in 1982.
One thing different about this reel is the working drag washer which is under the main gear.

Anyhow, I will post the pics and they can tell the rest of the story.

I like mine also but I don't have a big use for it anymore. When you post pictures then I remember I have it. It was either a Farther's Day or Birthday Gift back then.

Wow! great gift. Mine was a gift also. All the way from USA a couple of years ago. I was fortunate enough to find and buy a Mark 2 recently.

I think a stainless gear sleeve and 6 lobed drag would make it perfect.

Yes, I don`t know what the sleeve is made of, but this one and my Mark 2 gear sleeve show no signs of distortion.
The drag is better now with a carbontex upgrade, and probably adequate for a reel this size.
