Congrats on the Ferrari Fishing Reel.

Thanks Mike,
I can't wait to get my paws on it.
John, This reel is officially Darth Vader. ;)
Black is not my favorite, but I think I can make an exception in this case.
The anodizing is a $110 upgrade.
Keith, A bigger house is not an option.
I'm just glad I have a good woman to put up with my addiction.
I literally have reels in every room. Upstairs, downstairs, My Dresser has two 12/0's, 2, 14/0's and a 16/0 sitting on top.
My Everol 14/0 is on the nightstand. I plan on fishing this Beast. I am having a rod made for it as we speak. A Stuart short #4 Butt on an IGFA 80 5'6"Blank. I am finally realizing, you don't need a broomstick on these Giants. You need a little give to get in your stance.
Cracker, Congrats on getting that reel from Alex. That Guy is a Genius.
You are absolutely right about patience paying off. There is more than one way to skin a cat. :D

your the one who got that reel?  did you notice the damage to it in the pics? even though it says there is none. better open her up and check it out as soon as you get it.

Nice reel Daron.
As Lowprofile mentioned, do check the frame by the bent harness lug. It looks like it was bent while in the box and that probably isn't a big deal. I looked closely and I did not notice any scapes on the bent lug or the plate, but you never know :-\.
I'm hoping the material for that lug is softer than usual, that would be good news in this case.
Good luck!
Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.

Bent lug, no big deal. Just bend it back. Same material as usual. Looks like a big scratch across the top frame bar, (or is that a reflection?) could use a shot of spray paint.

that scratch looking thing is in two pics with different lighting. I think its sticker residue.

Yes Doc, that's what I'm thinking, no big deal. On Penn's, some are chromed brass and some are ss, I've seen many 4/0's with bent lugs and occasionally 6/0's, but never on 16/0's. :-\
Still a good idea for Daron to check it closely.

Yes,
I noticed the bent Lug. I will take that right plate off when I get it and inspect for any damage.
They have a 30 Day Guarantee, free shipping back. That spot is sticker residue. That's what they told me anyway. I couldn't get them to send me more pics.
My only other concern is the drag Lever. Its pushed all the way forward.
I'm sure this is stressing a spring or something on the inside.
The condition was described as no noticeable wear on the outside.
It better be perfect.

Whatever it is I have no doubt the resources to make it perfect at at your fingertips.
It looks awesome!

Beautiful reel there Daron.  Have you named her yet?
How about Luigi?   ;D  Pasquale?   ;D The ever popular Lucca Brazzi?   ;) Dominick
Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.

Hey Daron. do you have a pic of your 14/0 side by side with a 130? or can you get one?

and can you take measurements of both. spool width. side plate diameter etc. or just of the 14/0 and maybe someone else has a 130.

Alright Dominick.
Because of its Italian Birth right. It will be called the Godfather. ;)

When I get my hands on it Chris, I'll do a comparison to the 14/0. I don't have a 130.
The 18 and 20/0 are considered the Unlimited Class by Everol standards.

I meant your 14/0 that you currently have. if im not mistaken its wider and shorter than a standard 130. right?
