Full ammo box nuthin!  That's gonna lift the ammo box, 50 cal., and the M1 Abrams it's mounted on! :o :D ;D

A great big ole hammer or tiger is in for a treat...a trip to the beach from the opposite direction most of us go.

I borrowed this picture. There is a 20/0 on the left. The 18/0 is next to it. The 18/0 weighs 18 lbs fully spooled. The 20 weighs in at 20lb before line.

So, when are you getting a 20/0? We know its inevitable..lol

Shark Hunter

It will fall in my lap eventually. Brand new from Everol USA is $2400.
That's a pretty Nice two week Vacation. A man has to know his limitations.
I am happy with the 18 for now. ;D

My thoughts exactly. MAybe once something just completely wrecks the 18/0 you can justify it  8)

I think the only thing capable of getting wrecked by this fine piece of Italian Machinery is me.
I have heard stories of 9 foot Tigers being skull dragged by a reel of this size.
The 20/0 is just ridiculous. That is why I want one. ;)

Daron after reading this post I had to make a run to the store.  I bought a lottery ticket and thought about your wish.  If I hit the lottery I will personally deliver one to your house.  So keep your fingers crossed.   :) Dominick
Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.

Shark Hunter

I will lay out the red carpet for you Dominick. ;)
I put the rod braces on the godfather yesterday. I'm going to order some 200lb mono next week.

Oh well.  Someone won $15M and it wasn't me.  You gotta wait Daron.  The regular CA lottery is 23 million  to one.  Dominick

Tru dat...go big or home. No one should have that more than you, at least since Mr. Mundus has departed this earth.

I realize someone has to win. You can't win if you don't play. I choose not to play.
I am not a gambler. I learned my lesson a long time ago.
There are many Casino's close to me. I don't give them any of my money.
Its just how I roll. ;)

Hey Sharkee;  life is a gamble,   and then we go fishin!   Cheers
I like your gold bohemouth too.   I cant wait to hear you humbly say two speeds are ok!   ha ha!     gst.

Where'd you get the Godfather rod? I'm looking to upgrade the rod on my 12/0. I'd like a custom one, but plain and simple like that one. Looks good!

Shark Hunter

I had it Made by a guy I know who shark fishes a lot.
The Detachable butt is a $130 option. I paid him $400 shipped to my door.
IGFA 80 Calstar Blank. I think the guides are Fuji Hardalloy.
The butt was used, so it kept the cost down.
The tip arrived damaged, but Dwight hooked me up with a new one.
I think I'm going to have my Son build my next rod.
He has the tools. I'm not going to do it myself, because I know I will get carried away. ::)
