Could you imagine that, with the parts available today your talking a 5:1, 30+ pound drag 146! As much as I don't care for bearings, I'd just fall over dead for that reel.

I do have a suggestion and not a criticism, try to use a hand held screwdrivers on those instead of power drives.

Thanks Alto!  I wish I would've learned that back then!  But I use only hand-tools now, except for the Dremel.

It's called ProGear 255 and 251.  The 255 is about the same size as a 146 and the 251 is about the same size as a 251.

That is true but I was talking about the Accurate conversion, which I understand is very rare. BTW, it's good to know that the 251 is about the same size as a 251. (j/k)

Yeah, it's known the magnums aren't cheap. I think when mine was done it hit $500. That's with SS upgrades though. Amazing reels to have and definitely a conversation piece to have on the boat!

Gadzooks, in my naivety I didn't realize they were quite that expensive; worth it I'm sure though.  I'll have to stick with my "builder" for now

Yeah mine came out a little pricey, as I was very particular on what I was putting on it. But then Ithink is the only reel I didn't try and factor cost into.
