i like patches &stickers,cheap & effective
large & small patches
large patch for t-shirt,buy your own shirt, sew it on,cheap postage.
smaller patch for chest
there is a lot of overseas members
change ohana to family for the same reason if you go for that
jm with whatever you decide
i dont like the idea of compulsory donations even for the kids
if you want to donate by all means donate
to me donations are a personal thing

we are getting commercial,its unavoidable
cheers

I like patches to, I take me to my local laundry and the sew me on for cheap,  plus patches last a long time and like others have said you can put them on anything.

Looks like patches and stickers may be the best way to go. One size fits all and not a storage, size, or color problem.

Let me see if We can make those iron on prints. We can roll it up and send it in a tube. Light and you can iron on to your own shirt.
:D I talk with every part I send out and each reel I repair so that they perform at the top of their game. :D

Iron on peels off won't last a year.  I can make a good patch last the rest of my life!  I got some that are 30 yrs old already.

Can you imagine a 1' patch on the back of your t-shirt?

The iron on or standard patch that big would make me sweat like a PIG!  Haha.  How about we start simple and see how it goes?  Just do a vector art decal that is contour cut, offer it in 3x sizes and 3x colors.  This will allow for some feedback and interest.  You could stick these on rods, mugs, cars, rods, boats...

For the Ohana, this is my simple opinion, it creates a topic of conversation.  Example:  You are out fishing on a party/head boat and people see the decal on your cooler/shirt/whatever...they ask you what it means...your response is 'it means family' and you can explain it...thus creating the conversation about this place and its benefits.  Just a thought...

My wife has a good friend that owns a screen-printing business, I'll try to reach out to him and see what a quality t-shirt with a pocket logo and rear logo would cost (not quite sure I'm ready to take on the t-shirt endeavor, but its worth asking).

Sorry, had a nice family night last night, so no new artwork.  Monday I'll post up some more.

I have a good conversation going on now about T-Shirts with a vendor (the friend of my wife's)...They may be a lot cheaper than we thought for quality shirts and hoodies.  I'm doing a mock-up example for him on some t-shirt photos JUST FOR PRICING, NOTHING CONFIRMED  :P  Minimum piece order is 24 shirts, but that can include long sleeve and zip up hoodies.  If we order under $500 I could just hold onto them and ship out as needed...but, this doesn't have to be final, we as Ohana all have to agree  ;D

BTW, if we do this Alan gets a freebie... ;)

You guys let me know if I'm overstepping my bounds here...

Stickers get my vote.
Very inexpensive to make and you can put them everywhere. I agree that proceeds should go to Alan's charity.

For what it's worth, I like the decal and patch idea, and the zone specific wrench logo....maybe with the ALANTANI.COM under the wrench for balance.......Bill
It may not be very productive,
but it's sure going to be interesting!

Ron Jones

I like the zone specific also.
But I'm a California raised Washitonian who lives in Hawaii. I'll be buying logos for years!

Whatever ends up is cool  ;)...here is an example of clothes I tossed together.

Anybody have any other ideas for logos?  I'd rather go off of input rather than from scratch at this point.  It's like with clients...we set the ground rules and then the sky is the limit :D

They're all terrific, Dan... but, could we possibly offer a v-neck tee for the ladies?   :)

V-neck tee are not just for ladies, I wear mine all the times to show off my hairy chest  :).
Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.
